Special Character

Living In Faith Everyday

Our Catholic Character is at the heart of our school life.

We inspire and celebrate the Gospel Values of; LOVE, INTEGRITY, FORTITUDE, EXCELLENCE

All students participate in the Religious Education curriculum. They attend at least five school Masses each term (classes alternate each week) and a Community Mass each term. Students participate in school liturgies, and other celebrations that mark important occasions on the Church calendar. Prayer is an important part of our daily life.

PARISH SACRAMENT PROGRAMME

Your child has gained considerable knowledge and understanding of Catholic faith. As part of our Catholic family, to continue to strengthen this seed of faith, we invite your child to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and/or Eucharist.

Through Baptism we receive new life in Jesus, through Reconciliation we receive God’s healing grace of forgiveness and through Eucharist we nourish our faith.

We are seeking interest from families and children who would like to be part of our fantastic Parish Sacrament Programme.

If you would like your child to be Baptised into the Catholic Church (this can be any age, and can include pre-school siblings), please contact Jenni Harrison.

Students wanting to receive Reconciliation and Holy Communion will be in Year 3 or older and baptised in the Catholic Church. They will receive Reconciliation first and then begin preparation for Eucharist. Each student/whānau will have approximately 4-5 brief sessions to prepare them for each of these wonderful Sacraments. (Dates and times will be sorted once we have an indication of numbers). Please let Jenni Harrison know if your child is wishing to participate in this year's Reconciliation and Holy Communion Sacrament programme.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jenni Harrison.
